Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies the Bandon AFC Pitch Booking system uses, and why. It's part of protecting your privacy while using this site.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things between page loads — for example, that you're logged in, or that a request came from you rather than somewhere else.
Do we use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies?
No. This site does not use any cookies for advertising, tracking you across other websites, or web analytics. We don't run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or anything similar. Every cookie this site sets is strictly necessary to make the booking system work.
Cookies this site sets
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
bandon_pitch_booking_session |
Keeps you logged in and remembers your session as you move between pages (e.g. the calendar, your bookings, admin pages). Without this, the site would forget who you are on every page load. | Expires after 120 minutes of inactivity, or when you close your browser |
XSRF-TOKEN |
A security token that protects the site against cross-site request forgery — it confirms that actions like creating or cancelling a booking genuinely came from you, on this site, not from a malicious link elsewhere. | Same as the session cookie above |
remember_web_... |
Only set if you tick "Remember me" when logging in. Keeps you logged in after you close your browser, so you don't have to re-enter your password every visit. | Up to 5 years, or until you log out |
Other local storage (not a cookie, but similar)
If you switch between light and dark appearance in Settings, that preference is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Do I need to consent to these cookies?
Because every cookie above is strictly necessary for the site to function — logging in, staying logged in, and basic security — we don't show a cookie consent banner. Under GDPR and the ePrivacy rules, cookies that are essential to provide a service you've requested (like a pitch booking account) don't require separate consent. You can still block or delete cookies yourself at any time through your browser settings, though the site won't function properly (you won't be able to stay logged in) without them.
How to control or delete cookies
Every browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies. Since these are all essential to the site working, blocking them will prevent you from logging in or making bookings. Look for "Cookies" or "Site data" under your browser's privacy/settings menu — the exact wording varies by browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc.).
Changes to this policy
If the cookies this site uses ever change — for example, if we add a new feature that needs one — we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
